A Brief Picture of Completed Projects:
CHAND FOUNDATION has been so far undertaken following projects with financial and
technical assistance of various funding agencies;
Project No. 1
Project Title: Tree Plantation
Project Location: Union Council Koth, Tehsil Barshor, District Pishin
Project Duration: 2nd March to 20th, 2010
Project cost: PKR, 110,345/-
Funded by: Local Donor
Project Objectives
 To promote tree plantation campaign
 To create awareness regarding importance of healthy environment
 To save the existing forest in the area
Impact: 1010 trees were planted in the area which besides creating awareness for tree
plantation leads to protection environment and creating healthy atmosphere.

Project Title: Establishment of Computer & Tuition Center
Project Location: Nawa Killi Quetta
Project Duration: During the year 2010
Project cost: PKR, 534,000/-
Funded by: Organization members self help & Student fee
Project Objectives
 To literate male and female of the area
 To promote Computer literacy for the people of the area
 To encourage youth-capabilities in Information Technology sector
CHAND FOUNDATION Profile
 To improve socio economic condition of the people
Impact: In total 416 (329 male and 87 female) participants were directly benefited in the given
project. Most of the students (including male, female and children) from all walks of life had not
earlier obtained such trainings on computer and free coaching classes opportunity in their
schools and vicinity. It leads to open some more such centers for the same purpose. Computer
literacy disseminated in various circles giving further impetus to it.

Project Title: Establishment of Sewing Center
Project Location: Killi Shacha Ismailzai U/C kaza villa barshore

Project Objectives:
 To improve the socio-economic condition of women
 To promote confidence building of women
 To promote vocational training for self employment
 To eradicate poverty of people of the area
Impact: All 42 female participants learnt a great opportunity of sewing clothes. Many of them
have started sewing for livelihood while others are limited to have domestic need of sewing their
family clothes by themselves

Project Title: Conduct one day Free Medical Camp
Project Location: Kili Nareen U/C kaza villa Barshore
Project Duration: One Day on 25th August 2011.
Project cost: PKR: 66,302/-
Funded by: Organization members self help & Kili peoples, PPHI and Medicine

Project Objectives:
 To treat needy and marginalizes population of the area
 To provide Doctors prescribed medicines to needy patients
 To raise awareness regarding health education
 To provide Kitchen sets and hygienic condition
Impact: 242 people were provided basic health guidance along with treatment and provision of
medicines. The participants were mostly females, children and males as well.

Project No. 6
Project Title: Conducted International Population Day
Project Location: Chand Foundation Office Quetta
Project Duration: 11th July, 2011
Project cost: PKR: 16,950/-
Funded by: Zahoor Ahmad Kakar, a local Donor
Project Objectives:
 To aware the people about the disadvantage of increasing population
 To advocate people according to their heath and legal rights
 To promote population welfare education on gender bases
 To facilitate women regarding their reproductive health rights
Impact: Participants got motivated and many of the women rushed to the Basic Health Units and
district Hospitals to seek awareness for family planning and use contraceptives. Moreover, many
men and women sought thorough medical checkup.

Project Title: Improvement of irrigation system through Karez development
Project Location: Union Council: Kezavilla, Tehseel: Barshor, Dist: Pishin.
Project Duration: Six Months (Sep.2012- Feb 2013)

CHAND FOUNDATION Profile
Project Objectives:
 To provide clean drinking water to 112 households through cleaning and extension of
Karez of Union Council Kezavilla, Tehsil Barshor District Pishin.
 To minimize the water bore diseases like Hepatitis A and C, Diarrhea etc.
Impact:
The community is now getting clean drinking water through pipe from the source to the Talab.
Water wastage has been decreased to a great extent.
Water born diseases has been addresses and there a less complains of such kind.
Water storage and excess water is in use for Agriculture/ plantation and general purpose.
After extension of Karez and construction of a water storage Taalab the water is available for
multipurpose and serving a large number of people.
Improved Physical Infrastructure, for better living conditions.

Project No. 8
Project Title: Diagnosis of HCV/HBS through blood scanning.
Project Location: Chand Foundation Office Quetta
Project Duration: March 2013- May.2013
Project cost: PKR. 608, 830/=
Funded by: Volunteer Members/ Organization and Local Donors
Project Objectives:
 To aware the people about the infectious diseases
 Diagnosis of HCV/HBS for prevention and precaution
 Timely identification of infectious diseases for further treatment from the local hospitals.
 To help people of remote areas of Balochistan about the dangers associated with
HCV/HBS and seasonal diseases before its get too late.
CHAND FOUNDATION Profile
Impact:
The intervention helped the community in the following ways:
1. Poor communities who were diagnosed of any disease were separated from the others so
that the disease doesn’t affect the others.
2. School disease detection program helped the school administration to take proper care if
a case is detected.
3. Increase awareness in the community and the also advised to share the information with
other community and family members.
4. The activity is mainly focused on Women and Children.
5. The local hospitals are also involved in this activity and if a case is detected the hospital
take proper care of the patients. Moreover, if the cases require funding are referred to
Bait-ul-Maal.
6. The activity has increase coordination among the stakeholders

· To encourage youth-capabilities in Information Technology sector & Skills Development in different Trades.

Output of the project:

  • 40 Students Trained Completed in Computer & Information Technology Trade.
  • 40 Students Trained in Plumbing Trade.
  • 40 Students Trained in Carpenter Trade.
